Bank Holiday weekend. Probably the good place to start is the golf course car park near Larkhill just west of Durrington. From here we can go westwards towards the Bustard Inn and then strike north west to Market Lavington. There are pubs there but if it is too early then the villages of Urchfont, Chirton, and Charlton all have pubs and are set in the valley to the north of the Urchfont Hill and Chirton Maggot perimeter path at the top of the ridge. After lunch we can head south again towards Netheravon and back across the military ranges to the cars.
